IPL TREATMENTS

IPL for Generalised Redness

Persistent redness, flushing and broken capillaries can be frustrating and difficult to manage with skincare alone. At KGA, we use IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology via the Cutera XEO platform to effectively reduce visible redness and restore a clearer, more even skin tone.

IPL targets haemoglobin in the blood vessels that cause surface redness, allowing your body to gradually break down and clear away dilated capillaries. This treatment is ideal for conditions like rosacea, flushing, red scarring or environmental sensitivity. By strengthening the skin’s vascular stability and reducing chronic inflammation, IPL not only improves appearance but supports overall skin function.

Calms visible capillaries, diffuses flushing and strengthens skin resilience from within.

Pre & Post Treatment Care

Before your treatment, avoid sun exposure, fake tan and active skincare ingredients such as retinol or acids for at least 5 days. Do not undergo waxing or facial treatments for one week prior. Please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin.

After treatment, the skin may feel warm and appear slightly red or flushed. This settles quickly in most cases. Avoid hot showers, intense exercise, alcohol and spicy foods for 48 hours as these can trigger additional flushing. Keep the skin hydrated and protected with a gentle moisturiser and high-SPF sunscreen. Avoid actives until the skin has fully settled.

A course of 2 to 4 treatments is typically recommended, spaced about 4 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments may be needed depending on your skin type and triggers.
