IPL for Sun-Damaged Skin

Sun exposure is one of the biggest contributors to premature ageing and skin discolouration. Over time, UV damage can lead to freckles, brown spots, broken capillaries, redness and dullness. At KGA, we use advanced IPL technology with the Cutera XEO system to safely and effectively reverse these signs of sun damage at the source.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) works by delivering targeted light energy into the skin, where it breaks down unwanted pigment and stimulates natural repair. As your skin clears the damaged cells, your complexion becomes more even, radiant and resilient. It is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that delivers visible results without disrupting your skin barrier.

Fade pigmentation, repair UV damage and restore a clearer, brighter complexion with light-based therapy.

Pre & Post Treatment Care

Before treatment, avoid sun exposure, solariums and fake tan for at least 2 weeks. Discontinue retinol, AHAs, BHAs and vitamin C for 3 to 5 days. If you have used isotretinoin in the past 6 months, IPL is not suitable at this time. Please arrive with clean, product-free skin.

After treatment, the skin may feel warm and appear red. Pigmented spots may darken before flaking away naturally over several days. Avoid intense heat, sun exposure, active skincare and exfoliation during this time. Apply a gentle moisturiser to soothe the skin and use broad-spectrum SPF daily to protect your results.
